Daddy's Shirt

Our son was given a football jersey in the UCLA Bruins colors, since my husband's side of the family is very into all that. The jersey is still a little big on him since he is almost 2 and the shirt is a size 3 or 4.
The cute part is that both my husband and I have the same jersey, though I hardly wear mine since I am not too big on sports and it isn't season right now anyway. My husband though wears all his UCLA shirts all the time and in particular, the jersey that looks like my sons.
It was only last week when I first put my son's jersey on him to check and see if it fit him yet. I have been putting it on him as often as possible now because when I do he does the most adorable thing. His eyes light up and he gets excited as he says, "Dada!!". He thinks he is wearing his daddy's shirt and that makes him a very happy and proud baby. In turn it makes me a very happy mother to watch him do this adorable little thing. These are the things that light up our lives, and what makes us happy to be parents. He can turn any nasty mood around just by being who he is.

Just Like Mommy

While cooking dinner one night last week, my son was spending some time in the kitchen/office getting into trouble. He knows when I am not giving him my full attention, and therefore tries to get away with more naughties.

I had left the laptop open on the desk while I was cooking. I am used to closing it when I walk away to keep it grease free and otherwise, protected.

I noticed my son had crawled up onto the desk chair and was about to start typing away. I caught this and walked over shut the laptop screen. Just as I opened my mouth to tell him to stay away from it I saw the most adorable thing yet.

Just like Mommy he had sat down, put on my glasses and started to type away at the computer. It fascinates me very much that children copy you even if they don't know what they are doing. He sees me do this daily and he wanted to do what I do. I found it so adorable I couldn't stop smiling but I was able to grab the camera in time to catch a few cute shots of him.

Every single day his cuteness takes my breath away, and I have to wonder deeply, how could I love someone else sooooo much!? I want another but I can't imagine sharing this love with another child. The truth is I know I will be able to share my love, it was just a thought that crossed my mind. I know that before having my son I didn't know the extreme feelings that I could feel for him. It goes the same way with another child, I say how could I? But I have faith that I will have just as much for both of them when we have another and so on and so on. I love my children!

Griffith Park Merry Go Round

Griffith park is a wonderful area that holds many memories for me. I was very excited to take my son there for the first time just a few days ago. I have taken him to the zoo, but we never saw much else around the park. Which is huge!

After a few hours spent at the Gene Autry Western Heritage museum, my Husband, Son, and Mother in Law headed up the street for a shaded picnic. That was a lot of fun and I was very happy my son stayed put as well.

After the picnic we went to the Merry Go Round. The first ride was just him and I. He had a wonderful time, and I very much enjoyed being there with him. By the second go around he had gotten do tired he started to doze while Daddy held him. This time Daddy, Mommy and Baby all went on the ride, but our Son didn't enjoy it as much due to the fact that he was pooped.

Overall, it was a great fun day with lots of lasting memories. I got a few cute photos. I look forward to more adventures of this sort.
