Inside a Moms Day

I was tired this morning, after getting up every two hours to give my feverish son medicine. Then I got up at 6 to feed the baby. I got another hour nap right after that, which helped, but I guess I'm still tired because I have no memory today.

After a series of events leading up to me getting a little stressed, I told my husband I needed to go to lunch (it's my thing for a good time and stress reduction). Got in the car, thought I forgot my phone, went back in to get it and noticed my package that needed to be shipped. Turns out I didn't forget my phone. Then I headed to Mc Donald's to get my son's lunch on the way to the restaurant (which he won't eat at) and I ended up going to the Mc Donald's in the opposite direction. There was one other thing too.... but I forgot haha.

After lunch, and back home, it just continues.

**Disclaimer:: Mommy Moment ahead***
(They say all moms experience it, but honestly, I usually don't. I am still partially normal I guess)

I started a load of laundry, mainly to wash our two throw rugs. On the way to the bathroom to get the rug in there, I passed the closet. I remembered I had I to take a dress out of the closet for my daughter to wear for pictures. While there I remembered the time and told my son it was nap time. He asked to read a book, so we grabbed "Green Eggs and Ham" and he started reading it to me. Just as I was sitting there thinking how adorable it was to have my two year old read me a book, the baby started to cry. I put the book on "pause" and went to get her to join us. After picking her up, I passed the washing machine and saw it running with nothing in it, because I got distracted earlier. I tried putting some clothes in with my free hand (baby in the other) and I accidentally squished her foot between me and the washer. I put her down, finished loading it, and went back to my son. We finished the book, he went to bed. I sat down to feed the baby, then the washer got off balance. I tried to balance the two rugs in it, when I realized.... the bathroom rug never made it in. Oh well, next load. On the way to get the rug to remember it next load, I remembered I never took out the dress....

this will continue all day so I will stop there.

Our Movie Week

The Husband and I have been fans of Toy Story since the first one came out. In fact we are fans of all the Pixar movies. When we heard that toy Story 3 was going to be made we were thrilled. We waited patiently for over a year until it finally came out June 18th. In the meantime, with all the toys, ads, and clothes popping up with Toy Story all over them, our son started to get very interested in the characters as well. So, we set plans to go see the movie together at the IMAX in 3d.

The first movie I took our son to see was "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel". He liked it, but towards the end he got antsy and started to run around. I didn't know what to expect this time, but I wanted to try again. (It had been about 5 months since). It was the four of us (yes, I took our new baby) and my in-laws. I figured there would be enough people to hold him and entertain him if need be.

It took three of us to get him to wear his glasses, he didn't understand the concept. Finally, my husband got them on and he sat very still the whole time, amazed by this movie. My mother-in-law and I kept checking to make sure he was awake. He was, and when the movie was over, he cried. Needless to say, he loved it.

This all happened on Wednesday, and I was feeling like going to the movies again Friday. We aimed for Shrek 4, but it wasn't playing so we went for Toy Story 3 yet again. Things were going great, my son was enjoying his popcorn (which he called popcorn chicken) and water, had on his glasses.... then.... "Ok, Mama, let's go now." Half way through, we left. Ugh! it was $25 for him and I to see it and I even used a coupon.

The next day we all went to another theater that WAS playing Shrek and we saw that together. It was good too, also in 3d.

So, three movies in a week. The baby sleeps through them and I cover her ears when it gets loud. Now, I just need to go see Sex and the City 2 and I will feel complete with movies for now :) I think I will see it on Thursday.

Buggin'

Well, it's getting late and both babies are asleep. I should be sleeping too. I didn't get enough sleep last night, I yawned all day, and I have another long day out ahead of me. But I can't sleep, and I'm stressed out so I keep on playing episodes of "Sex and the City" in hopes of distressing long enough to figure out what to do. Bugs are taking over my life this evening.

My first thing on the subject is going to be my confession. I am very green, I love being Eco conscious and friendly in every way possible. I make my own cosmetics and toiletries, I make my own cleaning products, I use cloth diapers, I use cloth bags, I use a Diva Cup, and plenty more. However, when it comes to BUGS I am the biggest sissy and I HAVE to use chemicals. I do surround my house in D.E. as a natural way to deter the bugs, but I also have to use some spray to help keep them away. I buy the spray that is supposed to last 9-12 months, I feel it lasts only 3. It's been due time to add more and then the baby came and I have been busy.

Two days ago, our next door neighbor had her tree/bushes cut back. She is on the side of our duplex that our back door is on and we have a metal screen on the door, so I always leave the back door open in nice weather. I closed the door for the noise that day. Later that evening, I opened it to a bunch of tiny little flying bugs who decided to invite themselves in. I closed all the windows and doors on that side of the house and kept them shut all day. Yesterday, I killed bugs all day and night. Today, we have had the door open all day. Tonight, BUGS.

I am sitting here shopping for clothes that I desperately need after having my daughter. I go into the kitchen to grab my card to pay and I notice the flying bugs all over the kitchen window, wall, and light. I'd estimated 25+ of them. As I walk into the kitchen, a large COCKROACH walks by in front of me. WTF!? I'm a super clean person, in fact I lose sleep because I enjoy cleaning so much. I spray this stuff (which obviously needs a new coat) I use D.E., what else can I do? I can't handle these bugs.

My solution? I placed a cup over the cockroach for my husband to take care of when he wakes. I'd love to vacuum up all the flying bugs, but of course my husband and kids are asleep. I think the bugs will be gone in the morning :( If they are not, I will vacuum them then. The hamster is running away in his wheel annoying the crap outta me, I need to be sleeping, but I have to shower and I am scared to find out what lurks in the bathroom.

Ok, a hard mommy night, but I SO wish I had a maid right now to take care of this for me, and enough money for a pest control service to be here every week so I never have this problem again.
