Well, it's getting late and both babies are asleep. I should be sleeping too. I didn't get enough sleep last night, I yawned all day, and I have another long day out ahead of me. But I can't sleep, and I'm stressed out so I keep on playing episodes of "Sex and the City" in hopes of distressing long enough to figure out what to do. Bugs are taking over my life this evening.
My first thing on the subject is going to be my confession. I am very green, I love being Eco conscious and friendly in every way possible. I make my own cosmetics and toiletries, I make my own cleaning products, I use cloth diapers, I use cloth bags, I use a Diva Cup, and plenty more. However, when it comes to BUGS I am the biggest sissy and I HAVE to use chemicals. I do surround my house in D.E. as a natural way to deter the bugs, but I also have to use some spray to help keep them away. I buy the spray that is supposed to last 9-12 months, I feel it lasts only 3. It's been due time to add more and then the baby came and I have been busy.
Two days ago, our next door neighbor had her tree/bushes cut back. She is on the side of our duplex that our back door is on and we have a metal screen on the door, so I always leave the back door open in nice weather. I closed the door for the noise that day. Later that evening, I opened it to a bunch of tiny little flying bugs who decided to invite themselves in. I closed all the windows and doors on that side of the house and kept them shut all day. Yesterday, I killed bugs all day and night. Today, we have had the door open all day. Tonight, BUGS.
I am sitting here shopping for clothes that I desperately need after having my daughter. I go into the kitchen to grab my card to pay and I notice the flying bugs all over the kitchen window, wall, and light. I'd estimated 25+ of them. As I walk into the kitchen, a large COCKROACH walks by in front of me. WTF!? I'm a super clean person, in fact I lose sleep because I enjoy cleaning so much. I spray this stuff (which obviously needs a new coat) I use D.E., what else can I do? I can't handle these bugs.
My solution? I placed a cup over the cockroach for my husband to take care of when he wakes. I'd love to vacuum up all the flying bugs, but of course my husband and kids are asleep. I think the bugs will be gone in the morning :( If they are not, I will vacuum them then. The hamster is running away in his wheel annoying the crap outta me, I need to be sleeping, but I have to shower and I am scared to find out what lurks in the bathroom.
Ok, a hard mommy night, but I SO wish I had a maid right now to take care of this for me, and enough money for a pest control service to be here every week so I never have this problem again.
