Potty Trained.... or not?

Everything was going great with the potty training. At just over 2 and a half years old, with just a few weeks before the birth of our daughter, we were able to announce our son was officially potty trained. He was only wearing diapers at night for a while, then when they were dry for over a week I started to take them off and let him sleep in underwear. He was getting up in the middle of every night to go to the bathroom on his own. He was fully potty trained for a good 2-3 weeks. Then our daughter was born.

Most people automatically assume that when the second child comes along, the first will feel left out, angry, jealous, or some combination of a whole list of emotions. This hasn't happened with our son for the last three weeks our daughter as been with us, at least, not that we suspect. We are very good about treating him the same way we always have, and making extra time just for him. However, day two and three after bringing her home, he wet the bed. I know big change can make a child insecure and I also know that potty training can take a step backward once a new baby arrives. I have been patient with him about it. I started using the pull ups again at night. (which I was previously upset about buying since he got "officially" trained right after I bought them) They have stayed dry for almost three weeks. He had one more accident during naptime yesterday. I think that was due to him drinking a lot before his nap though.

What I wonder now.... is it really the big change of his new baby sister? Is it just that he hasn't been getting as much sleep (due to her waking during the night) and he is so tired that he is sleeping through the sensations to go? Is this just normal for potty training regardless of a new baby?

Three accidents in three weeks, for a 2 and a half year old is not bad in my opinion. I just wonder.
