Well I just posted a blog yesterday about the TV. And today I have more to say about it.
I spent 8 hours next door cleaning my brother-in-laws apartment today. I came back for lunch, not only to re-energize myself, but to check up on my son who was being looked after by my husband.
Well, more like being looked after by the television! He had been watching it all day, torn up the house and had poop. Oh yeah, he hadn't eaten either. Gosh, what was my husband doing? Well, he was on the computer of course. Maybe he thinks that is what I do all day because he always sees me at the desk. What he doesn't realize is that I am always paying close attention to all my sons needs, and I listen to him very well. Granted, I spend more time with him than anyone else, and I "know" his language. But still, here I was working hard to make extra money and my job at home wasn't being taken over. That adds stress.
My husband kinda got the hint and insisted on making his lunch that I had started. I changed my son, I set up his lunch, I came back and cleaned him up, and I then put him to nap also. And mu husband the whole time? Computer games.
Once my son was asleep I went back to do more. My brother -in-law is very filthy and it took my 8 hours to do everything excluding the kitchen. So when I returned a few times toward the end of my "shift" I was grateful to find my husband had in fact washed the dishes in the sink like I asked him. But my son had watched TV ALL DAY LONG. My husband used it as a babysitter today. I am so thankful that he doesn't have to watch my son any more than once a week while I clean because then my son would become that kid I refuse to have.
