It is a beautiful, yet disturbing thing when you toddler son sits on your lap, smiling his sweet smile while he proceeds to point to various spots on my face and pronounce that I have "owies", reminding me that I have adult acne.
But the beauty of it is that he loves me, and all of me. No matter what I look like, sound like, smell like, or even act like. He always loves me unconditionally and I am beautiful in his eyes. That makes me feel beautiful. Inside and out.
What is sad, is how people can not appreciate that about their children. People do not feel that way themselves, then cause their own children to stop feeling that way. That leaves us in a world filled with people who look down on others for the way they look, act, think, feel. It causes people to feel fat, ugly, inadequate, and inappropriate. It's a horrible way to live, why can't we all just see the true beauty in one another and live peacefully?
