It was a total of three days of fever, and a max temperature of 103.1. After a talk with my son's doctor we found out that there wasn't too much to be worried about yet and that I should just keep doing what I was doing to take care of him. (Lukewarm baths, alternating Motrin and Tylenol, and keeping him hydrated) I was informed to look out for signs of trouble in which I would want to bring him in. (extreme lethargy, dehydration, won't wake up, fever won't respond to any treatment.)
We waited it out one more day and he woke up fresh and new. He's been great since. I had developed the start of a sore throat myself, but I took Airborne and got lots of rest and it never developed into anything.
So we made it through one of his scariest sicknesses, yet we are still lucky enough to say he has only been sick three times in his life. We will keep doing what we do to keep him strong and healthy.
