Soaking Kids in Bleach?

This article on BabyCenter really disturbed me. Apparently there was a study done on a group of children with eczema where one half the group took a diluted bleach bath and the other half took a placebo bath. They claim that the bleach baths really helped to reduce the skin outbreaks and I do believe the point they make about how the bleach kills the bacteria that causes more outbreaks. However, it seems horribly wrong to me to soak your child in bleach, no matter how small the amount.

We live in a house with hardly any chemicals. I make all my daily cleansers out of natural ingredients and buy a few others from Whole Foods to eliminate as many harmful chemicals as possible. I do also have some products in the house (and locked away up high) such as Resolve for the many messes my son makes and bleach for the huge task of eliminating germs and viruses when needed, or the get rid of the mold that grows so often in our bathroom since it's the only thing that kills it dead. But I do hate having these products around as it is.

I made the mistake a few weeks back of bleaching the bathroom without a mask and I inhaled far too many fumes. The next day I suffered from slight chemical poisoning. Granted, I had myself a large dose of bleach to directly inhale, but nonetheless, suffered from this chemical. Hence the reason I hate having this product around, just in case. I also have made the mistake in the past of getting it on my skin and feeling burning and itchy for the rest of that day. Again, that was full strength.

Maybe it is from my experiences that I am so wearing of this product and feel wrong to ever let my sons naked body soak in a tub which contains any trace amount of it. I thank the gods he doesn't have this skin condition of eczema, but I don't know if I'd be able to get myself to do it if he had it.
